In Memoriam

Miriam "Mimi" Cox Burley

Mimi was born January 25, 1923 in Buffalo, New York, a daughter of Donald S. Cox and Edna Grad Cox. She was initiated into the Theta chapter at Bethany College, in Bethany, West Virginia in 1965. If you asked anyone, Mimi was a firecracker and when she passed, was just 3 days past her 94th birthday.

In addition to her membership with the Clearwater alumnae chapter, Mimi was a past Regeant of the Abagail Fillmore Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the Clearwater chapter of the American Revolution, a member of the Covington, Kentucky Protestant Children's Home, the Junior Board of the Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was also a member of the Retired Wives and Widows Club, a member of the FY Chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit.

She received her Order of the Shield and our chapter will truly miss this wonderfully spirited woman.
